Welcome to the Launchpad Series Recording Sessions.

A new era at the Armory has begun!…An era of media making and of catapulting creative projects!

We are producing a series of exciting TV shows that will help us figure out the best infrastructure setup for the studio—lighting, sound, and set design—and to workout our show formats. We are inviting Rogue Valley creatives to participate in the process!

Our objective is to create high quality media content that you can use to promote yourself and your project long into the future, and that will be featured on the new media network dedicated to music, the arts, entertainment, and cultural creatives, with an emphasis on people and projects from the Rogue Valley.

In other words, we’re building a prolific content generator: reality TV, podcasts, live music, local showcases, and more—with the ultimate goal of running a fully active studio seven days a week, year-round.

Local Showcase Series: Music

Launching the Launchpad

We are “launching the Launchpad” with our “Local Showcase” music series. Think…“Tiny Desk” concerts meets “Chefs Table” style storytelling”

This series spotlights musicians of the Rouge Valley sharing the stories behind their favorite songs, performed in front of a live studio audience of their best friends and fans in the intimate setting of the Launchpad Lounge. Authentic, heart-felt, real, and simply AWESOME!

We are focusing on the art of “storytelling”, while tastefully showcasing your original art.

Each event will have two parts to the evening. The first set will be the “raconteur session”, the slower paced storytelling part of show, structured around the artist’s favorite songs, and interactions with the audience. 

Then intermission (chair removal), followed by a full concert.

Note: This show is best for bands with their own original music.

Local Showcase: “Live Concerts”

Local bands playing whatever they want in the Launchpad Lounge, captured live. Basically, you are inviting your friends and fanbase to come participate in shooting a music video.

The Launchpad Sessions

Jams Sessions live from The Launch Pad, featuring one-of-kind combinations of touring artists who are passing by on I-5, coupled with local stars! These unique jam sessions will never be repeated, special moments immortalized in video. The musicians take turns to set the tone…laying the groove for the free-flowing jam sessions! Boom! Simple and fresh every time!

Up-close with your favorite touring artists, full concerts live from the Launchpad Lounge at the Armory.

Procedure For Bands

Load-in time: will generally be 3pm.

Sound check: at 4:30 pm.

Doors: These events will start earlier in the evening. Generally doors will be between 5:30 pm /6:30 pm and the show will run until about 11 or 11:30 pm.

Basic Format: 2 or 3 sets

  • First set - intimate, seated acoustic, with story telling and interactions with the audience (if the bio option is chosen by artist)

  • Second, artist choice… more acoustic or full electric, faster, slower etc.

  • Third - artist choice

You will be given a special ticket link to share with your friends. You are inviting them to be your live studio audience in support of the creation of a one-of-a-kind media asset they will cherish forever. You are inviting them to be the stars of your music video.

Terms:

It’s a simple formula: We set the ticket price and split the door. Half will go to you, the artist, and the other half towards the production of your videos. Ticket capacity is 80 people.

We’ll post the media, clips and shorts in our gallery and social media channels, and link them directly to your sites, driving traffic and giving you exposure.

You can also use the videos for your own website, socials, and wherever you want for self promotions.

You’ll have many clips and shorts from one event for you to share… all while making a little money to boot!
